Hudson announces average fleet age of less than 6 years

In this era of high fuel prices and difficult market conditions it is more important than ever to maintain a modern, efficient, and diverse fleet.

Hudson Shipping Lines enhances competitiveness using Rightship's environmental ratings

(“Hudson”), a dry bulk Supply Chain Management company operating a fleet of 42 dry bulk vessels, today announced their fleet has achieved an average carbon dioxide efficiency rating of “C” using RightShip’s Existing Vessel Design Index (EVDI™) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Rating. This puts Hudson in the top one-third of the global fleet for energy efficiency and greatly improves Hudson’s competitiveness with charterers who consider energy efficiency as part of their vessel selection process.

MV Iolcos Commander Maiden Voyage
Submitted by awhite on Wed, 01/05/2013 - 10:101 May, 2013 - In January of 2013 Hudson Shipping Lines, Inc was honored to welcome the newly built MV Iolcos Commander into their fleet for her maiden voyage on the high seas. The MV Iolcos Commander is a beautiful new build, bulk carrying Panamax, which was completed in January of 2013. With her sea trials and testing completed, she was delivered into Hudson's fleet and set forth into trading on her maiden voyage.
