28 November, 2012 - Earlier this year, Hudson set a record at Geraldton, loading the first ever Kamsarmax-size vessel at the mineral berth in Geraldton, Western Australia. Not being content to rest on our laurels, Hudson's parceling service experts once again went back to the drawing board in order to successfully bring the second ever Kamsarmax, the MV Alpha Vision (81,254 deadweight on 14.518m, length overall 229m, 7 holds/hatches) into port to load several individual parcels, but this time at two berths (another first!).

5 November, 2012 - On track to outpace our 2011 numbers, in October, Hudson Shipping Lines has already completed their 300th vessel voyage for the calendar year 2012, showing no signs of slowing down. Released today after the completion of one of their weekly meetings, Hudson executives were happy to report the early arrival of this yearly milestone. "Before too long we may have to increase our goals out to 400 voyages per year," said one executive.

18 October, 2012 - Going “GREEN” has been an objective of Hudson throughout this decade, from low sulfur to slow steaming to reduce fuel waste etc., Hudson has used many simple but effective ways to achieve these noble goals.

“This movement towards a ‘greener’ shipping community is something we’ve been working towards here at Hudson Shipping since the early 2000’s,” stated one Hudson executive. “In fact, we’ve surveyed our existing fleet and have been able to reach a 95% compliance with the recently announced Rightship’s Efficiency Index grading scale of E-rated vessels or higher.”

20 September, 2012 - In an effort to streamline their Internet presence, Hudson Shipping has pushed out a sleeker, cleaner, more compact website. The new interface brings about such features as a deeper gallery of vessels used by Hudson, better flow for our news items, and even the ability to apply to work for Hudson, right from the website.
