Mark Reiss Joins Hudson Team

Nassau, Bahamas, May 29th , 2013 – Hudson Shipping Lines, Inc. ("Hudson") a global supply chain management (SCM) company focused on the storage, handling and transfer of dry bulk commodities, proudly announced today that effective June 4th 2013, Mark Reiss will join the Australian team as a director of one of its wholly owned subsidiaries in Perth Western Australia. Mark (with the existing team who combined have over 75 years in Australian SCM expertise) will be spearheading its SCM activities in Australia. Mark Reiss joins Hudson from Breamar Seascope where he served as Operations Manager for the past 2 years with a total of almost 9 years in the operations department.

While at Breamar, Mark advised clients across a broad spectrum of sectors, including Indonesian coal shipments, Iron ore transshipment operations, parcel cargoes including artificial separations, optimization of loading and discharging operations through mine site and port attendance, all vessel sizes from multi-purpose vessels through to Capesize, grains, ores, mineral sands, concentrates and guidance on particularly unusual or difficult shipping operations. Mark started his career in shipping in 1999 with Louis Dreyfus Armateaurs in Paris as a trainee for 9 months and then worked his way back to Australia on a multi-purpose vessel spending a few months at sea gaining valuable “hands on” experience.
